Role Overview: We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented HR Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our HR systems and processes. This position has a strong focus on payroll, benefits administration, HRIS functionality, and data analytics. The ideal candidate will hold a Certified Compensation/Payroll Professional (CCP or CPP) designation and combine strong technical skills with a deep understanding of HR operations and compliance.
This dual-role position serves as the primary owner of HR system integrity, configuration, and reporting, while also contributing to strategic decision-making through data analysis and continuous improvement of HR processes.
Role Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration
- Manage and process end-to-end payroll accurately and on time, including off-cycle payrolls.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Coordinate payroll reporting and reconciliations with Finance.
- Troubleshoot payroll issues and drive continuous payroll process improvements.
Benefits Administration
- Administer all Carisk benefit programs including Self Insured Medical Plans, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability, Group and Supplemental Life, Critical Illness, Accident, Hospital Indemnity, EAP, FSA, COBRA, 401(K), Employee Discount Plans, ClassPass Wellness, and more.
- Coordinate Leave of Absence (LOA) and FMLA administration alongside Leave Management vendor.
- Manage and troubleshoot weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly vendor file feeds.
- Coordinate benefit reporting, billing, and reconciliation with Finance.
- Process enrollments, changes, and terminations through the HRIS and vendor platforms.
- Serve as the point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.
- Lead and coordinate open enrollment processes and reporting.
HR Systems Administration
- Own HRIS administration: system configuration, security roles, workflows, and data integrity.
- Manage system updates, new feature rollouts, and third-party integrations.
- Provide tier-2 support for HRIS-related issues and user troubleshooting.
- Partner with IT and vendors on system enhancements, testing, and implementation.
HR Systems Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze HR data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to compensation, turnover, headcount, and benefits usage.
- Design and build dashboards and reports for HR leadership and business stakeholders.
- Use data-driven insights to recommend improvements in HR processes and employee experience.
- Maintain data governance standards and support audit and compliance efforts.
Compensation & Compliance
- Leverage CCP expertise to assist in maintaining competitive compensation structures and market benchmarking.
- Support job architecture, leveling, and salary range analysis.
- Ensuring systems and processes comply with labor laws, benefit regulations, and data privacy standards.

Role Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certified Compensation/Payroll Professional (CCP/CPP) designation required.
- 4-6+ years of experience in HRIS administration and HR analytics, with direct experience in payroll and benefits.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling, Workday, UKG, ADP, SAP SuccessFactors).
- Strong analytical skills with experience building reports and dashboards (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
- Deep knowledge of HR data flows, security, compliance, and compensation concepts.
- High attention to detail, process mindset, and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Experience in multi-state payroll environments.
- PHR Certification.
- Experience with participation in HRIS implementation or system migration projects.
- Familiarity with SQL or data visualization tools a plus.
